  To begin, this movie is not necessarily ABOUT anything.

  I would argue that’s not the point. 

  Roughly 35% of the film, the hair on my arms stood up.

  That’s what makes this movie worth experiencing. To be completely honest, this is what a musical biopic should be—not about ideas or typing a broader cultural narrative, rather a transportation to what the music DID to the ears and minds who lived it.

  That requires believable performances and solid execution of the tasks at hand—ACU did that.

  Well done, Timmy. And Boyd. Boyd did it for me.
