The Academy really needs to start considering nominating horror more often. Genre films need to stop being “too weird” for them to be nominated and recognized because there’s so much talent worth giving mention on big stage outside the drama and Oscar bait type films. Naomi Scott gave one of the best performances of this past year and one of the best lead horror performances in recent memory.
