  More of a romantic drama where the main character just so happens to be Amy Winehouse. Was expecting more focus on the music and the recording etc. but it was…ok, nothing special.

  Also good god the mixing on the music was so bad as well as the lip syncing. One scene her and her dad are just singing along to a song at a family party and all of a sudden the sound of everyone there goes away and a studio sounding recording clicks in while they are poorly trying to lip sync to it. So rough lmao

  Love Matthew Vaugh and Sam Rockwell so expected a really fun movie but damn. This thing is a mess, and feels much longer than it actually is. I think a more focused story and honestly and R rating to boost up the violence would’ve served this movie very well. Instead they focus on plot twist after plot twist until you don’t even know what’s going on anymore, and most of the humor falls flat. Disappointed but it’s not like it’s the worst movie of all time just very middle of the road.
