Bong Joon Ho's latest movie follows a familiar tonal shift at the half way point he's used in previous works.
With Parasite, the first half was great and intriguing, while the second half cemented it as a masterpiece.

Can't give this a rating due to being very distracted for a good half of it (there was a crying baby in an 8:30 pm showing of this and any requests from the audience for the parents to step outside were met with the dad yelling and threatening to shoot up the theater) but I will say there were some pretty entertaining kills. The bee one stood out as a highlight!
An incoherent, chaotic, and incompetent mess. It just so happens that those qualities make for one of the funniest, surreal, and most "what the fuck is happening" experiences I've ever had at the movies- however I can only take so much nonsensical overload and the 2 and a half hour run time turns into a real chore eventually.
Absolutely not lacking in the visual department though, some of those sets and costumes were some of the coolest I've ever seen
