I enjoyed this film quite a bit. It's a fun and bizarre "reality" that the film presents the viewer that feels like it could easily been written by Charlie Kaufman. Nicholas Cage is quite good in it though he seems to be doing this "trump" like voice that he does in "Colour Out Of Space" which i found unnecessary and distracting for his character and also added to the whole "not taking cage seriously" impression in recent years. Maybe that…

The Holdovers 2023
The Holdovers is the Good Will Hunting as Saltburn is to The Talented Mr Ripely. It is a wholesome story well acted and visually speaking they did a very good job making it look like the 1970's. Paul Giamatti is a perfect fit for this role. I recommend it enough to add to your Holiday list next year if you want something new to watch that embodies some feel good classics. Though it easily stands on its own anytime of the year.

Poor Things 2023
If Barbie and Nymphomaniac had a baby, its grandmother was frankenstein and it was directed by Terry Gilliam. Completely absurdist, hilarious, entertaining and of course deranged while simultaneously mirroring life itself. Visually one of the most stunning movies i've ever seen. I would recommend this film for the colouring alone.
