  Heat 1995

  The characters just didn’t grip me as much as I thought they would. Sure the flashy heist sequences are awesome, and in general the film is extremely well shot, but the whole thing felt like a 2 hour and 50 minute slog. I just couldn’t get myself to care about Robert DeNiro’s character and his girlfriend. 

  I will say, my complaints don’t mean this movie isn’t well written or acted. I just didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would. Others might like it better than me, and maybe I just need to give Heat another try sometime in the future.

  Although not a masterpiece by any means, it’s still a worthwhile watch. Classic 80’s thriller.

  A pretty enjoyable anime movie from the 90s, the background art and animation is very pleasing to the eye. My main issues with it were the strange pacing of the fights and the strange sexual content. The 8 demon ninjas were super cool, but I felt like their powers were underutilized. The fights felt like they went on for too little, and the ending fight felt half-baked.

  Beetlejuice Beetlejuice 2024

  *I haven’t seen the first Beetlejuice*
  An interesting fun romp, I was pretty entertained throughout. The movie itself got me interested into the character of beetlejuice, Michael Keaton’s performance was once again top of the line. I enjoyed Winona Ryder’s performance as well.

  Was one of the few new movies I’ve seen that was actually decent.
