  I would love to see Greta Gerwig visiting a Barbie factory in Indonesia (or China or wherever) and explain to the women (and probably girls) who work there how she helped to end women's suppression by making a two hour commercial for the company that exploits them everyday.

  They really made a low-budget film that looks and feels bigger than what most movies with 20 times that budget accomplish. So yeah, this is truekino™ in full-blown try-hard mode and I highly appreciate that.
  If only the formal ambition were matched by the intelligence of its ideas because this adds up to nothing more than a mixture of the misunderstood genius biopic and the immigrant story, both told in the most clichéd way possible. The second half is so…
