A Mr Bean-esque approach to the mundane of modern life becoming more vibrant with technology.

‘Play Time’, though lacking any real plot and constantly jumping from character to character, was thoroughly enjoyable. For the time, the set is innovation at its finest—the sprawling glass-and-steel cityscape is both a marvel of design and a quietly absurd commentary on modernity. The subtle representation of technology becoming ordinary is brilliant, with everyday interactions turned into choreographed chaos. Tati’s comedic precision makes even the smallest gestures feel significant, and as the rigidity of the city gives way to revelry, the film transforms into something strangely hypnotic and deeply human.

Dinner in America is this offbeat, loud, and weirdly tender movie that feels like someone took a punk rock love story and dragged it through the mud, but in the best way possible. I went into it not knowing much, just that it was about two outsiders and a bit chaotic, and honestly, I thought it would just be a fun ride. But it’s a lot more than that. It’s a love letter to everyone who feels like they’re too…

This was a 160-minute dazzling spectacle where Elphaba defies gravity, Glinda defies logic, and Fiyero defies the need for personality because he’s too busy looking like Oz’s Next Top Model.

But seriously, this is how movies should be made. The set design in particular absolutely blew me away and left me feeling incredibly inspired as an aspiring set designer. The moment the Emerald City lit up, I was mesmerised by how every element—every colour, every light—pulled you into this magical…
