  Anora is the first time in history when a sex worker thinks the john is in love with her and not the other way around. 23 sex scenes later that were devoid of any real eroticism... this thinly veiled rape fantasy is brought to you by a culture addicted to pornography and the humiliation of women. The plot felt hollow and I only enjoyed the subtle face acting and decent performances. Guess you can't expect anything more from a white cishet director who "makes movies about sex workers and immigrants." His words.
