  Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes 2024

  This shit was so mid it was crazy. Extremely simple plot to follow, doesn't really do much to build on the world of the franchise from where we left off. I also don't feel very satisfied by the end. And I don't mean that in a pay off way, I mean that I just didn't really like it. The only thing that keeps it from being lower is that Raka was my guy, and he's voiced by Bortus from the Orville (Peter Macon).

  Unironically had a blast when I saw this today. It also helped that I only paid 6 dollars and there was only one other person in the theater besides my friends and I lol.

  But nonetheless, this movie knows exactly what it is and plays to those strengths. It had all of us laughing our asses off and that was clearly the intent.

  I understand not watching it in theaters, but I honestly just want everyone to watch this joint.

  This was a fun watch. It's certainly fantastic to see people that look like me/are like me, in more ways than one, in this type of animation style. Stop-motion, just on a technical and visual level, will always fascinate and entrance me.

  However, that being said, I do feel the film could be better. The pacing is weird in multiple spots throughout the movie, and the concepts aren't really fully explored. The latter of which you can certainly move past,…
