Anora’s character is beautifully written, the way she cries 3 times in the hole thing: when she saw the scratches on her face, when Ivan called her an escort and at the end, just shows how being an exotic dancer and the worth she had to give her body and nothing else is all she’s ever known. The comedic effect throught the narrative was incredibly well placed. I felt like Ivan’s mom was the only acress who didn’t meet the expectations of her role but besides that the cast worked out so perfectly!
