Definitely doesn’t hold up to the first movie, but still enjoyable. I feel like it didn’t hold as much tension since they were just out in the open the whole time and they kind of showed the dinosaurs from the beginning??? I also am not as much a fan of the villains. In the first movie even though Nedry set everything in motion, the main conflict was still Hammond vs his own hubris and in this one the conflict is very clearly tied to a few distinct villains. Loved the baby t-rex though

This movie is genuinely a masterpiece idc just the craft of it is so good!! The lighting and framing, the pacing, the score, and the combined use of practical effects and vfx makes it hold up so well even 30+ years later.

I’ve been wanting to watch this for years but just got around to it and it is FANTASTIC. Witty, touching, well-paced, exactly what a good rom com should be. Similar concept to When Harry Met Sally and it executes it flawlessly. It is the oasis in the rom com desert that was the 2010s. I cried at the end.

ngl a lot of the line delivery in this movie is CHEESY and it retcons a lot of the details presented by earlier films but the Charles and Erik content makes up for it like they were putting their all into this movie
