They are soulmates and it hurt cause they needed and wanted each other but life takes its own route and in the end, they had everything they ever wanted except for each other.
The Fools who dream song was very powerful because it just reminds the viewer of the fun and extraordinary dreams they once held on to but had to let go of because this force of doubt, reality, and expectation ruin the dream and turn dreamers into normal people.
