The Batman 2022
I watched this whilst semi delirious from tonsillitis and it only added to the viewing experience. Whether this was meant to be The Long Halloween, Year One or some weird variation of Earth One Batman, I loved it.
Genuinely one of the best pieces of superhero media to come out, because ultimately, this is a noir detective story with a guy who beats up people whilst going IM BATMAN rather than your standard superhero fare

So.
So.Wanted to like this movie more than I did. I could look past the character assassination of Reyes, the paint by numbers plot - but there are a few things, especially around Dani and Berto and how they butcher Cheyenne myths and …fail miserably at casting an Afro-Brazilian actor for Sunspot.
but as an accurate portrayal of the New Mutants, the cast nail the characterisation. Like seriously, it felt like I was watching Sunspot, Mirage, Wolfsbane, Magik and Cannonball on the screen.
