  Going into this without any prior knowledge of the play or the history of the War of the Roses was probably not the best idea but oh well

  I found the directing kind of meh except for the fourth wall breaks which I LOVED. Laurence Olivier is great obviously, so much so that the movie is much less interesting whenever he's not on screen.

  This made me want to learn about Billy's other historical plays, so overall I guess it did work for me!
