We watched this at my aunts house and the colors were so desaturated in this version it looked like a Zach Snyder movie and the lava from mount doom was bright pink and it looked quite silly.

Evil Dead II 1987
A lot better than the first one. The side characters were a little better (but that’s not saying much), the practical effects were both creative and cheesy as hell. Ash is great here and becomes more cool yet damaged as the story progresses. It’s a lot funnier and campier too, which is what I wanted from the story.
I do think the whole haunted house started to get old though, it’s not the most interesting sets and felt repetitive keeping…
