I think an anecdote is just Current Me living in the memories of Future Me and I am glad I am remembering my first time watching this. It’s gorgeous and endearing and I wouldn’t expect my guy Jesse E. to emote like anything else.

I don’t remember what I thought the first time I watched this so I watched it again tonight and this mf is remarkable!! Referential but only about as much as my life tends to feel. Subtle and sharp. I’ve always thought that sustainable comedy was smart and this film felt clever.The first time I drove myself through my hometown I didn’t think about the curves or the restaurants. I thought about the people I would see. Landmarks in their own right.
Anyway, I liked it a lot!!
