Truly one of the cinematic experiences of my lifetime - watching this in IMAX seeing Timothee Chalomet use the voice with the entire theatre shaking. Chills!
Villeneuve does a brilliant job of adapting Arrakis into this harsh terrain, the importance of water emphasised time and again just like in the books. The major difference from the Lynch movie is how well he does a job of encapsulating the Dune politics and the religious intertones superbly. The highlight of the movie is of course Feyd Reutha's fight in Giedi Prime.
My one qualm after reading the books is not showing Lady Jessica for the badass she is.
