i think this movie is about stubbornness, or being so caught up in your point of view or experience that you lose the ability to exist alongside others. simultaneously very sad, engrossing, and funny. excellent performances from brendan gleeson and barry keoghan in particular. i wish i had watched it earlier. made me want to re-watch In Bruges.
Very cool and interesting visual style. Suffers i think from being too withholding especially at the start, such the horror at play is often too mysterious to reach its full potential. Excited to see future works from this director.
