Wicked 2024
I loved Ariana Grande, but that could easily be my bias from watching her as Cat Valentine in Victorious.
I do think the length is the biggest issue here. It’s only part 1 and this doesn’t necessarily feel like an eventful film. The play is apparently as long as this film, so we could have likely had one tighter film.
The musical segments are also let down by some unimpressive camerawork and blocking. Despite some impressive performances by the actors…

Must have been somebody’s GTA Vice City fanfiction.
I think seeing this as the middle of a trilogy, with Barbie as the beginning and Blade Runner 2049 as the end, makes me like it more. Ken’s journey for love and finding himself is a real struggle throughout these movies. It’s a pretty satisfying headcanon
