Words can’t really describe how I’m feeling with David leaving this world today.

So much of the person I am is shaped by his work. No art has ever been closer to my heart than Twin Peaks and Mulholland Drive. I don’t think there’s a more uplifting and beautiful film on this earth than The Straight Story. So many long and lonely days of the Covid lockdowns were brightened by David bringing me the weather forecast from LA. Beautiful blue…

    ‘Yield then, to God’

It’s literally one of the best movies ever made I don’t give a single fuck. Even so much better on my second viewing. There’s so many levels to this. David Gordon Green is operating on levels they could never understand.

The final act is earth shattering. I saw it for the first time not one year ago and I was still rocked and rattled to my core this time. Terrifying, heartbreaking, shocking. I was stunned. Hand…

Oh I love this so much. What a cool switch up. What a surprising treat. Incredibly sweet and fun and scary.

I had no idea what to expect from this and what a pleasant surprise. It was essentially a funhouse journey of the Warrens storage room of evil. The Ferryman scenes were the best scenes in the movie and I need a full Ferryman spin off series asap. First hour was great and narrative heavy and then the third act…

    ‘I’m confident in God’

Loved it. Linda Cardellini has a blood curdling scream. She’s so great as always, love her. Tuco Salamanca was as menacing as ever but also a big sweetheart.

The imagery was great, the constant presence of water was really cool. There were some shots of the house in the rain that were really cool. Not the most frightening film I’ve seen, but creepy as hell and one or two effective jumpscares. It…

Oh I don’t know what movie you guys were watching. This is fucking incredible. A slow burn first two acts of pure raw atmosphere into a blistering final act that lifts the whole movie into greatness. I loved it.

I’ll start with Taissa Farmiga because she just deserves all the praise in the world. She is perfect in this role. Perfect. She does Vera extremely proud.

The final act is where this film lives and dies. And it blows the…

This is pretty special for me. I saw this for the first time when I was probably around 11 or 12. I was staying at my dad’s for the weekend and of course he let me stay up late watching tv. This movie came on tv at probably close to midnight. Back in the days of no pausing tv and watching through the ad breaks. I thought it was the coolest movie I had ever seen. I think a lot…
