A Real Pain 2024
What a refreshingly beautiful and thought provoking film. Watching David and Benji’s dynamic during their journey together left me both feeling wonderful and at times uncomfortably seen. I’m also a huge fan of Jesse Eisenberg so it was awesome seeing a work with him as the writer-derictor-star all at once. Definitely need a second watch soon!

The Monkey 2025
I’d equate watching this to the feeling I got when I was little and my older brother dramatically threw his fist around his shoulder as if to punch me stopping at the last second. I saw it coming from a mile away, I didn’t flinch or jump, and I walked away somehow both mildly annoyed and apathetic.
