Mononoke the Movie: The Phantom in the Rain 2024
It took me about 40 mins of the run time to really be able to sink into the film mainly due to the overwhelmingly stunning visuals. There really is a lot going on on the screen, not entirely helped by how fast it jumps to the next shot but jeepers did they do an astounding job of animating this.

Rough pick for a first film on a Sunday morning but what a film.
Before I started doing Letterboxd I had just watched Hereditary for the first time and I’m enthralled by these horrors where we’re examining the worst emotions and actions that a person can experience, mixed in with just enough of a supernatural allegory to really hit it home.

I Saw the TV Glow 2024
Sound and vision were spectacular and I deeply felt the inner turmoil of Owen, I had to take a pause to really digest the last scene.
Only thing is I could have done with less of the exposition of what happened in the Pink Opaque reality. Love the concept but begun to drag when we started getting a lore dump.
