Hoped #BlackBag would be gripping but it never reaches that level of satisfaction. A rather basic, chatty, low-key spy saga that gets slightly more interesting as it goes on but doesn't sizzle or inspire you to truly care. Even at 93 minutes some of the scenes feel way too long.

Paddington in Peru 2024
#PaddingtonInPeru isn’t as gentle as the first two films. There’s still some whimsy and definitely heart (especially the core relationship between Paddington and Aunt Lucy). Lots of movement, action and VFX, with slapstick sequences for the youngest viewers. #SaturdayScreening

The Electric State 2025
Just screened The Russo Bros. $320 million dud #TheElectricState. Tons of VFX and lots of stars in forgettable roles. Brown and Pratt look disinterested. Yet another generic "humans vs. robots or can they get along?" story. No momentum. Overblown '90s score. Schmaltzy final act.

Unfrosted 2024
The costumes and sets in #Unfrosted pop. The rest of Seinfeld's food farce is a colossal mess. Relentlessly manic. Random quirky bits work on 22-minute sitcoms thanks to sharp dialogue, timing and editing, but this feature has none of those, along with no structure and no laughs.
