this both empowered and healed me… i never thought that one of the best contemporary feminist films i’ve ever seen would be set in Shanghai and in Mandarin!! female friendships are so beautiful and the older i get the more i enjoy movies about (co-)parenting. i hope i can be an aunt to a friend’s kid one day 🥺
