A very thorough yet unpretentious look into the life of two opposites in a superbly set coming of age story.
One of the most creative and classically driven movies I have seen in a while. I suspect we will not get a movie like this for another twenty years.

One-of-a-kind story that unfortunately falls a little flat at the end. The cinematography was awesome. And Sean connery is always perfection
Author Tim O’Brien said that “fiction helps us understand the truth.” 60 years prior to O’Brien writing “The Things They Carried” Erich Maria Remarque wrote the book “All Quiet on the Western Front.” The two both serving in pointless combat seemed to understand the power of storytelling. I hold to this closely.
That said, watching the movie I understand that it didn’t follow the story word for word but given the source material in a capitalistic industry, entertainment triumphs faithfulness.…
Very charming movie. I expected this one to be good based off of what others had said and in my experience that leads me to have too high expectations but this movie exceeded them. Very raw emotionally which is a tell of good writing and shooting. Original and very fun idea for a movie.
very straight forward and digestible so I may not need a second viewing.
