  I hadn't seen this in years but damn it holds up. Jessica Chastain is really great (and should probably get a new agent because YEESH to her last 5 years of picking projects) and it doesn't hurt to have The Avengers of character actors in the supporting cast.

  The last 30 minutes will always be iconic; still puts me on the edge of my seat.

  The kids are actually written like kids instead of ultra-intellectual poets. Very refreshing.

  It's sweet and charming but I wasn't really emotionally affected on account of me having a penis. Nonetheless I'm glad it exists.

  Paul Mescal doesn't have it, I'm afraid. Honestly a pretty boring performance which is tough when you're carrying the whole movie. Maybe I just miss prime Russell Crowe...

  Everyone else is fun / good / making CHOICES but their characters are kinda just doing stuff without any explanation as to why? The whole Denzel plot line falls completely flat.
