My Favorite Martian 1999
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Meh.
Uncle Martin was too zany. The charm of the original is that he was wise and philosophical as well as being a fish out of water.
And Zoot was completely unnecessary.
Best part was that it resolved the original series’ storyline.

OK premise for a rom com, but suffers from stilted dialogue, so-so acting, and truly bad sound editing. Populated by mostly two dimensional stereotypes and tropes, none worse than the 9 year old computer “genius” who is clearly already brainwashed into his father’s cult of mind.

It Happened Tomorrow 1944
A quirky little tale of a newspaperman who gets his late edition the day before it goes to press. Sounds like a Twilight Zone episode, but actually a quaint love story and comedy. Powell and Darnell are great together in this cleverly devised tale.
