So many things on the technical side help make this movie great and elevate what is on screen. There is a beautiful and dynamic use of color and solid camera movement. The cinematography, this time around, really stuck out to me. The passage of time, while not super long, is very well executed. The movie establishes an identity right off the back. The beginning sucks you in immediately and gives you a lot to think about.
Part 1 is a very uplifting story about a man trying to reunite with his wife while being an immigrant and assimilating to his new life.
You get mileage out of every scene. Even during the odder more controversial 'adult' scenes there is a huge sense of loss, connection, longing, hatred, power dynamics, etc.
