  Waltham Forest Cinema Project screening #2! Over 100 people for this 10th anniversary (of the UK release), followed by wonderful French house DJ set from Patrick and Aaron. I also made papercraft Daft Punk helmets because I’m #extra. 

  As with all of her films, it’s about the effect of time upon any situation. It really occurred to me this time that Eden is really about thinking your brother and his friends are ~the coolest~ and then growing up to realise…

  Absolute wild privilege to interview Mike Leigh on stage, matched only by the level of genuine love for him in the audience, which felt like the summation of a life making incredible work that offers something truly set apart and valued by audiences.

  On the other hand, I will never forget him answering, ‘What do you mean specifically by ‘intelligence’ when it comes to acting?’ with, ‘well actors are like anyone. Some people are intelligent………………. and some are thick as pig shit.’
