Denzel just might be the greatest ever. His physical acting in this movie, combined with a great script made for a very emotional two hours.

Special shoutout to the first 3 minutes of this movie. Talk about grabbing your attention… (Iykyk)

Most people know someone, or of someone who is/was an addict - and Denzel takes you through so many of the highs and lows. Such a challenging movie emotionally - should I be rooting for this man? Why? At what cost?

Struggled with this rating. At times I felt like this was the best movie I’d seen all year.

At other times I thought it was actually quite bad. There seemed to be no in between.

I understand that movies about “great men” are out of fashion now - but I was constantly confused why this movie felt like it was trying to be more about Felicia than Leonard? If you’re afraid of making “just another great man movie” then maybe…
