    I wanted to see this post it's Oscar and BAFTA wins. There was an effortlessness to the staging and shooting of this film, the former half glistening with an effervescent glow of promise for Anora's 'relationship' with Ivan. It's colour palette, staging and locations present a world of wealth and appeal, subtly tinged by sleaze throughout.     As gloriously photographed as this film is, it can’t disguise a thinly veiled plot and an unclear message. While touching on themes of racism and mental health, neither is explored enough to justifiy the dramatic weight placed on them. This said it’s underlying message of community and the power of cinema as an institution is moving. But this sadly falters under a weak and confused narrative.
