The Menu 2022
I'm not sure what the point of this movie is. Is it a criticism of Michelin star cuisine? Is it a criticism of Art with a capital A? If it's the former, I don't think it does a very good job. If it's the latter, maybe it's a bit better. Also, characters in this movie don't act like real people, which always bothers me in movies. But somehow I was much more OK with that by the end. Weird. But still, I had fun watching it, and it was made with some intention. Which is pretty good.

The characters were a bit insufferable but I really liked the filmmaking. Gave me big time Wong Kar-wai vibes with the use of music, time warping, frame cutting, freeze framing, etc.
REALLY enjoyed how all those techniques are put together to build an amazing final ~20 minutes. When movie surprises me with filmmaking that interesting and unique, I gotta give it that extra half star.
