  the beauty and pain of assimilating. sometimes things have outgrown where they are and the optimism of a better place hides reality of the inevitable struggle of unfamiliarity. 

  Minari takes time to traumatize kids of immigrants with the fighting parents, both too hard headed to admit wrong doing. both worn down chasing the elusive american dream.
