  if depression was a movie 

  after learning that this was semi autobiographical and the realizing the title refers to them as the fireflies i just stared off to the tv screen

  this reminded me of okja to be honest and has some of the bong joon tropes: wacky animal, outlandish but one day possible sci fi idea, some crazy leader, big snow storm

  This is such a heartwarming movie! One thing I admired a lot about Shia Labeouf’s character Tyler was that he did not care if Zak had down syndrome. He saw Zak for who he was, a hero and as he put it a “good-person heart”. That one scene absolutely melted my heart as it was connecting moment for Zak and Tyler. I also enjoyed the subtle villainy that existed throughout the movie with Duncan chasing Tyler throughout all of it.…
