Where do I even begin omg.
There are two reasons I keep coming back to this movie, whether it be the effortlessly charming Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts, who embodies that perfect, soft ’90s romance. The relationship between the sort-of awkward but charismatic English bookshop owner and the ever so popular American actress is everything, it’s the dream life I want to live.
Perhaps this Notting Hill is my favourite romance film is because, deep down, I YEARN for a love like this.

A bit of a letdown…
I was so excited to watch this movie, but it completely missed the mark. I’m not sure if it was the lack of chemistry between the leads or just her absolutely feral wardrobe, but something was off.
The storyline had potential, but it ended up feeling super cliché, and not in a good way. I love a good cliché when it’s done right, but this just felt like a copy-paste of other movies without adding…
Loved every minute of it.
Honestly one of the best written movies I’ve watched in a while. The story was so well written (probably because it is a novel), and you can tell there was a real eye for detail, from the big things like the set and cinematography to the smaller touches like makeup and hair. Everything felt so carefully done.
