It's called Mickey One because that's the amount of funny jokes he told in the film.
I really enjoyed this and I think my experience was partially boosted by the negative review my film teacher gave it. I think expectations play a big part in your enjoyment of something.

I really loved the one-shot-ness of it and I enjoyed 3/4 episodes but it really doesn't say much about anything. They dont elaborate on much, and large swathes of dialogue could be cut and replaced with much more interesting stuff.
The last episode portrayed the weird disonance between knowing your son is a murder and him also being, y'know, your son, but the actual episode was quite unentertaining.
