Tinto Brass gets dismissed as a softcore quack I guess, but that is shortchanging him massively. As with almost all his films, this is just SUMPTUOUS in every conceivable way. Incredible art direction and cinematography. Soft focus T&A dreamland. Everything down to the credit font is just perfectly composed. This is true 'world building', and its a man's world, but the women have firm grasp on the leash and are COMPLETELY in charge, leading their fragile little dogs around.
