I see a lot of people saying how her children were insufferable, but like that's the whole point of the story. Pallavi didn't get to have her own identity so she chose to be the perfect mother and the perfect wife, to be selfless so everyone around her could be happy. And unfortunately for most women that happens a lot, so I think this a beautiful way to explore how a mother regaining authority over her life, can really affect everyone around her without them even noticing they were being selfish all the time.
