The Substance 2024
A psychological horror film about the obsession with youth, beauty, and the fear of aging. It also reminds me of women who undergo excessive plastic surgery, losing their essence and ultimately becoming unrecognizable. Demi Moore delivers a strong performance. In my opinion, the story is thrilling and well-crafted, but it contains many disturbing scenes and a heavy dose of both body and psychological horror. It's perfect for fans of dark and thought-provoking films like Black Swan and possessor.
