Really enjoyed all the performances in this movie as well as the funny bits. I was laughing at a lot of the movie. It’s kinda predictable but it’s so enjoyable you don’t really care. Would totally rewatch and recommend to anyone who likes fantasy movies or comedy/adventure movies.
The biggest issue with this movie is it feels a little disjointed but is broken into three simple parts.
part 1 (pre Willem dafoe) was incredible. Very intense. The way they portrayed Nosforatu was different than most vampires I’ve seen in cinema and I appreciate that. The acting and cinematography was top notch. This part is a “holy fuck I need to get myself of here” type vibe.

Uncut gems intensity but instead of rooting for the main character to stop making bad choices in this movie your following the character that holds everything together like glue.
This move ages like fine wine. As a kid I never appreciated how great all aspects of this movie are. The cinematography is reminiscent of a Wes Anderson film. The way they tell the story through the camera is so creative and fun.
For example, all the scenes where the characters take fabric and materials from the monastery is a simple and entertaining way to tell the story. The fight scenes are remarkably well shot too. The sound track is…
