The Nightingale 2018
logging for a while back when i watched this. got halfway through this shit and turned it off, specifically at the point when the director thought that as a white woman it’d be an awesome idea to film an indigenous woman being sexually assaulted. very surprised this got through so many hands without being questioned at all. i am definitely not rocking with the what aboutism tone the film takes of comparing irish australian struggles to indigenous struggles.
