In my opinion, Jake Gyllenhaal embodies the role of the protagonist perfectly, slowly becoming more obsessed with his new job and showing immoral tendencies.
I really like this movie, but what’s keeping me from giving 5 stars is the realism in some of the scenes, especially the ones where Bloom shows up before the cops do. One element of the movie I particularly enjoyed as well is the distinctiveness of the story itself.
The ending being open ended is likewise excellent, leaving many questions on how Lou may continue with his profession.
