    The Autopsy of Jane Doe

    ★★★

Low Budget procedural B horror flick following the unusual events surrounding the discovery of a corpse after some home invasion gone wrong.

Worth watching for the lengthy autopsy bits maybe, even though I feel like I've seen more authentic, rigorous and somewhat intriguing autopsies in some crime tv series.

  • Klute

    Klute

    ★★★

Interesting power dynamics between a prostitute played by Jane Fonda and a private detective on the case played by Donald Sutherland.

+ Jane Fonda engrossing existential monologues

    - weak action scenes, contrived plot

    Beauty and the Beast

This adaptation of the timeless tale of Beauty and the Beast is rough around the edges and has very little in term of nuance, dimension and character. It delivers scene after scene yes but never connects the dots and fills the gaps in between, the narration is nonexistent, and even as a play devoid of narrative the dialogues often come as unnatural forced and silly. And if that was not enough, it's also devoid of romance whatsover, quite the tragedy…

    The Fog

I hate John Carpenter and all his films, it's always the same exercise in insignificance and dullness plagued by this same o singular o insufferable self-restrained camp touch that would make a clown cry, sloppily put together with its contrived execution, sluggish pacing, unengaging characters, trivial and drawn-out conversations, awkward confrontations, absurd situations, cheesy plots, and its repetitive and interminable drums that cripple your ears.

It's no surprise The Fog is no different.

ps: I lied, I like a couple of his, but saying so would ruin my first sentence hah
