Man… I cried! maybe because I’ve rewatched the other movies recently but damn no more mark darcy :( little Darcy and Bridget’s monologues really got my tears going.
my takeaway is that it really takes a village in all cases but especially for grief… ouchie

I feel my rating would be closer to a 4 than a 3!!!
Bong Joon-Ho touches on class and relationships to money really really well - so he took it to space!
I mean the not so subtle nod to Trump and the  manosphere was fun.
I was super immersed in the world that was created. Robert Pattison can act his pants off (no pun intended) like rlly found his character (17) touching - found my chest aching for the…

unsettling and creepy, so beautifully shot! loved the folk tale element - very good take on a classic ‘horror’ story/tale.
presently enjoyed Nichols’ performance along with William defo playing another mad doctor character (is he playing his kooky self)
the possession scenes from lily had my eyes wide in shock! the contortion of the body was nuts, but also took away from ‘bigger’ scenes where the physalis was at play. some of her monologue had me zoning out slightly I didn’t feel conviction in some of her speeches.
I also found it… erotic…in a very creepy strange way l but very very uncomfortable.

I wanted to watch more movies with Daniel Day Lewis so here we go…
A great film capturing themes of hunger and greeeeed capitalism. This was incredible. Probably the closest thing to a western I’ve watched. Slower pacing Than I’m used to but thoroughly enjoyed.
The shots were visually stunning and the whole film had a real classic movie feel.
Daniel day Lewis wow completely embodied the roll, really took it past ‘acting’. I felt every scene.
The scene with his “son” wounded me.
Also a round of applause for Paul Deno! oft what a performance.
