i searched for this movie for years! it caused my sexual awakening as a teen (which probably explains a lot). my parents had it recorded; i would secretly get out of bed at night and go watch it. this may have influenced my rating a bit but honestly i still enjoyed it and the plot was entirely new to me cause surely i never watched it for that when i was younger.

My dad took his own life when I was 14. My most vivid and favourite memory I have of him was during a vacation to Italy with my mom and sister, a year or so before. He wanted to climb a tower and I was the only one who was up for it too. I remember the shared feeling of satisfaction and joy when we finally reached the top. Me taking a picture of him; him taking a picture of me. Strange, in that moment I was blissfully unaware of how it would become my favourite memory of my dad. I didn’t know he was struggling.
