Coming Home 2024
This feels very classic Joel. I love the conversations that him and his mother have, his mom has a really great view on life, and just seems happy to be doing something with her son. Joel obviously loves his mother, and this film seems more like a letter to her more than anything. At first I thought this would be a shoo-in for his last movie, but a lot of passion went into it and you can tell.

I get it. I see what the movie was going for, however.... I was under the impression that these boys would be more secretive. Obviously you should be able to make out with whomever whenever, but if you're in a time and place where that's not the best idea. Maybe don't do it?? To summarize this movie, it's amazing. It's one of the few that made me cry, and is an artistic piece. EEAO is smart, funny, emotional, and it almost seems self conscious about the fact.
