Anora 2024
Funny at times but at some point it seemed the joke was Ani and her inability to understand what was going on. Spent the second half trying to understand if she was plain delusional or just trying to save whatever chance of life Ivan was offering. Agree with other reviewers that comment on the lack of her characterisation especially with regards to her own goals and desires.

There were some super cool sequences in this movies, particularly the gravity scenes and the scene where they try to sneak past the facehuggers. The characters were whatever though. I'm also fortunate that I've only seen a handful of the previous installments and a lot of the throwbacks weren't registered as such, so the movie still felt fairly fresh and not derivative.
