The first half of this film reminded me of an AS Byatt novel I’ve read somewhere in the past. The fact that 2006 is now a “historic period” made me laugh as surely that was only five years ago! The whole “go to university and meet very posh rich people” however was very close to home though and I indeed had an experience where I discovered my housemate had an actual castle in Scotland…and here I am telling this anecdote…
