tldr: reinforced my hatred for marble
super conflicted about this film. i’m probably in the 1% that felt more comfortable in the second half cos the first half was too hopeful for me LOL. but i truly was moved by all the architectural shots and especially the opening of the library shelves and the cross of light hitting the marble. like gasped and teared kind of emotional. and also the shots of him getting excited seeing the statue of liberty…
